There are no long-term energy outlook publications or open access to models of Mexico’s energy system.
Currently, there are no public documents that offer a comprehensive model-based forward-looking vision of the Mexican energy system to facilitate medium- and long-term decision-making.
Open access to advanced models of Mexico’s energy system is non-existent. However, an increasing need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to understand energy transition implications makes it essential to have access to energy scenarios that facilitate decision-making.

The main purpose of Transition Modelling Lab is to provide quantitative insights on Mexico’s energy transition.
Through our platform, we provide access to various decarbonization pathways of the energy system, generated with the only existing model of the Mexican energy system at both national and state levels.
